Registration

• A. Online ECC with David Strom – $150.00
  Every Child Can! (ECC) is an introduction to Dr. Suzuki’s philosophy and its application to Suzuki education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers, and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning.
  
  Every Child Can! is an 8 hour course. This course must be offered over two (2) days. GWSI will offer this course virtually through zoom on June 19-20, 2025 from 4-8 pm EDT
• B. In-Person June 23-28, online June 21-22 Violin Unit 1 with Ronda Cole – $800.00
  Course must be offered over a minimum of 8 days. Minimum of 28 hours of class time (lecture and
  demonstration), to include a suggested 2 hours of guided observation and discussion of
  the Trainer’s own home studio students, either live, by video, or a combination. The first two days of the course will be held online June 21 and 22 and in person June 23-28. Weekday times will be scheduled between 8:15 am and 4:00 pm EST, so teacher participants may observe live lessons at GWSI for this course.
• C. In-Person and Online Cello Unit 1 with Shu-Yi Scott – $800.00
  Course must be offered over a minimum of 8 days. Minimum of 28 hours of class time (lecture and demonstration), to include a suggested 2 hours of guided observation and discussion of the Trainer’s own home studio students, either live, by video, or a combination. There are two participation options for this course. Option 1: Online only June 21-28. 2025. Weekday times will be scheduled between 8:15 am and 4:00 pm EST, so teacher participants may observe live lessons at GWSI. Option 2: Online on June 21,22 and 28. In person June 23-27. Weekday times will be scheduled between 8:15 am and 4:00 pm EST.
• D-1. In-Person or Online Violin Unit 2 with David Strom – $525.00
  A minimum of 15 class hours of lecture/demonstration and 8 hours of
  supervised observation required over at least 5 days. Teacher participants have the option to participate in-person or online for this course.
  
  This course will be offered between 10AM-2PM EST in-person or online at GWSI June 23-27, 2025
• F-1. Online Violin Unit 3 with Stacy Garner – $525.00
  A minimum of 15 class hours of lecture/demonstration and 8 hours of supervised observation required over at least 5 days.
  
  This course will be offered online via Zoom between 11AM and 2PMEST July 7-11, 2025
• G. Online Violin Unit 4 with Ann Montzka Smelser – $525.00
  A minimum of 15 class hours of lecture/demonstration and 8 hours of supervised observation required over at least 5 days. This course will be offered online via Zoom between 11AM-2PM EST July 7-11, 2025
• I. Online Enrichment Course: Play!: Exploring Creativity, Developing Autonomy, & Finding Meaning in Music Lessons with Taylor Morris – $275.00
  This is a 10 hour online course. 11AM-1:30 PM PT

• J. Scholarship Request Registration - Deposit – $100.00
  Select this Registration Type if you are requesting need based scholarship for the Greater Washington Suzuki Institute. A deposit is required and the balance of the registration fees will be calculated after the Scholarship has been awarded. The link to the scholarship application form will be manually sent after receipt of this registration.
• K. Observer – $100.00
  Teachers who would like to observe student classes may register as an observer. Observers may attend parent lectures, recitals, student master classes & repertoire classes. Observers may not attend any Unit book classes or Enrichment classes. SAGWA members may observe for free, but must register online.
• L. Nurturing Artistry through Tone and Vibrato Development-with Daniel Cordova – $275.00
  Tone and Vibrato are essential to every string player's development of a distinct musical voice. In this course, we will explore pedagogical concepts to unlock a students' inner voice throughout their development from the beginner through advanced phases. Online course July 7-11. 11-1pm EDT
• M. LCPS teacher observer fee – $75.00
  For LCPS teachers. Teachers who would like to observe student classes may register as an observer. Observers may attend parent lectures, recitals, student master classes & repertoire classes. Observers may not attend any Unit book classes or Enrichment classes.
