Registration

• A. Online ECC with David Strom – $150.00
  Every Child Can! (ECC) is an introduction to Dr. Suzuki’s philosophy and its application to Suzuki education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers, and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning.
  
  Every Child Can! is an 8 hour course. This course must be offered over two (2) days. GWSI will offer this course virtually through zoom on July 5-6, 2024 from 4-8 pm.
• B. In-Person & Online or Online Only Violin Unit 1 with Ronda Cole – $800.00
  Course must be offered over a minimum of 8 days. Minimum of 28 hours of class time (lecture and
  demonstration), to include a suggested 2 hours of guided observation and discussion of
  the Trainer’s own home studio students, either live, by video, or a combination.
  
  There are two participation options for this course.
  Option 1: Online July 7-14. 2024. Weekday times will be scheduled between 8:15 am and 4:00 pm EST, so teacher participants may observe live lessons at GWSI.
  
  Option 2: Online from July 7-14. 2024. Weekday times will be scheduled between 8:15 am and 4:00 pm EST.
• C. In-Person and Online Cello Unit 3 with Shu-Yi Scott – $525.00
  A minimum of 15 class hours of lecture/demonstration and 8 hours of supervised observation required over at least 5 days. This course will be offered in person or online via Zoom between 10AM and 2PM EST at the GWSI event July 8-12, 2024
• D. In-Person or Online Violin Unit 2 with David Strom – $525.00
  A minimum of 15 class hours of lecture/demonstration and 8 hours of
  supervised observation required over at least 5 days. Teacher participants have the option to participate in-person or online for this course.
  
  This course will be offered between 10AM-2PM EST in-person or online at GWSI July 8-12, 2024
• E. Online Violin Unit 3 with Ann Montzka Smelser – $525.00
  A minimum of 15 class hours of lecture/demonstration and 8 hours of supervised observation required over at least 5 days.
  
  This course will be offered online via Zoom between 11AM and 2PMEST at the GWSI event July 8-12, 2024.
• F. Online Violin Unit 4 with Stacy Garner – $525.00
  A minimum of 15 class hours of lecture/demonstration and 8 hours of supervised observation required over at least 5 days. This course will be offered online via Zoom between 11AM-2PM EST at the GWSI event July 8-12, 2024.
• G. Online Cello Unit 2 with Alice Vierra – $525.00
  A minimum of 15 class hours of lecture/demonstration and 8 hours of supervised observation required over at least 5 days.
  
  This course will be offered virtually on Zoom between 11am and 2pm EST July 8-12, 2023.
• H. In-Person or Online Enrichment Course with Terry Durbin: The Musical Bow Arm: Cultivating Nuance, touch, dynamics, phrasing, technique, flexibility and complexity from Twinkle through Tchaikovsky. – $275.00
  This is a 10 hour SAA approved supplemental course that will meet from July 8-12, 2024. Teacher participants have the option to participate in-person or online for this course.
• I. Online Enrichment Course: Supplemental Repertoire: Violin Books 6-8 with Charles Krigbaum – $275.00
  This is a 10 hour online SAA approved course on Zoom from July 8-12.
• J. Online Enrichment Course: Group Class Teaching Strategies Pre-Twinkle through Early Book 1 for All Instruments with Shu Yi Scott – $275.00
  This is a 10 hour SAA approved in person and online course offered July 8-12, 2024. This course will focus on Group Teaching Strategies.
• K. Online Enrichment Course: Play!: Exploring Creativity, Developing Autonomy, & Finding Meaning in Music Lessons with Taylor Morris – $275.00
  This is a 10 hour online course offered June 9, 16, 23, and 30th 2024. This Course will focus on exploring creativity.
• L. Observer – $100.00
  Teachers who would like to observe student classes may register as an observer. Observers may attend parent lectures, recitals, student master classes & repertoire classes. Observers may not attend any Unit book classes or Enrichment classes.
• M. Scholarship Request Registration - Deposit – $100.00
  Select this Registration Type if you are requesting a need based scholarship for the Greater Washington Suzuki Institute. A deposit is required and the balance of the registration fees will be calculated after the Scholarship has been awarded.
