Violin Teacher - Clinton Christian School

- At Clinton Christian School in Upper Marlboro, we have recently lost our violin teacher this school year. Therefore we are in need of fulfilling the need immediately. Classes for Violin are on Monday and Wednesday and a few private lessons. If you know of any students that might be interested in working those days, please have them contact the school ASAP. Clinton Christian is located at 6707 Woodyard Road, Upper Marlboro, 20772. I will be in the office for meetings/interviews for the remainder of the week. Baltimore City School System Artistic Director

Founded by the Baltimore City School System, the Baltimore Talent Education Center, is a Suzuki-based string education program aims to remove all obstacles for any Baltimore city student of all ages to string music lessons. The position is noted as part-time, because the program is in the midst of great transition, the position is expected to grow. JOB DESCRIPTIONS FOR BTEC (Spring 2010) Job Title: Artistic Director Reports to: BCPS Arts Coordinator, Friends of BTEC. Collaborate on par with Administrative/Development Director. Supervises: Artistic and technical personnel Responsibilities an Duties: Hours required for this position vary, and are dependent on teaching schedule, classes, Saturday event, and other organizational tasks. The Artistic Director is responsible for conceiving, developing, and implementing the artistic vision and focus of Baltimore Talent Education Center for the Spring 2010 semester, and for BTEC’s eventual move to fulltime nonprofit status. The Artistic Director is responsible for major decisions about the ongoing development of the aesthetic values and activities, after extensive consultation with the Administrative/Development Director.
The Artistic Director:
- Assesses all instruments.
- Conducts Registration for Spring 2010 classes.
- Updates all necessary forms for instruments, enrollment.
- With collaboration with FBTEC, hires and supervises all instructors for BTEC.
- Develops and monitors budget for employment of all teachers.
- Composes evaluation standards for students, teachers.
- With Administrative/Development Director, develops annual program budget.
- Acts as secondary spokesperson for the organization's artistic purpose via speaking engagements, public and social appearances, and, as requested, at fundraising events and solicitations.
- Plan and conduct BTEC events String Fest, Parent Training recitals, as well as possible participation in community events (i.e., Maryland Solo Festival).
- Foster development of good relations with other cultural organizations by participating in meetings and joint activities where appropriate.
- Reports to the FBTEC Board at Board meeting or Parent Meeting on a regular basis to give an update on artistic activity.
- Teaches each BTEC after-school day, and leds repertoire on Saturdays.
- Assists in recruitment strategy.
- Supervises the maintenance of written procedures manual for technical and production staff.
